Amazing

Been using this while flying into remote lakes around Coastal BC. Easy to use, intuitive, rugged and nice to have some backup when cell service isn't an option. The basic flex plan is reasonable, flexible and you can discontinue service anytime you aren't using it for a while. Looking forward to having this in my winter safety arsenal this coming ski season!

Outside of the subscription price this is the ideal piece of kit. works great, intuitive with and without a phone to link to. Waterproof (tested already several times). Long lasting battery.

Easy To Use

The Inreach 2 is great! It uses the Iridium network which is a huge bonus if you travel to a multitude of remote places globally. The only downside is the cost in comparison to a SPOT which has a full keyboard, but its not really necessary if you have a phone to pair with the device.
The device was easy to setup and is small enough not to be a hindrance when attached to my backpack during hikes.

I used this device on the John Muir Trail, and it has been such an amazing piece of gear. It's an investment into your own safety, you can communicate on trail without service, and get weather updates. LOVE. Great for anyone from beginner to expert.

Does everything the older Explorer+ did but via a less janky phone app. Since I never used the larger device and preferred the jank phone software, this is better in every way. If your phone goes down, this isn't as useful though, so there's that.

I wont go offshore or in the backcountry with this. An Inreach has become an essential piece of equipment for todays outdoor enthusiasts. it has worked flawlessly to allow me to keep in touch with friends and family and well as to share intel with others in my group when theres no cell service

Go with confidence

I'm primarily a solo hunter. My wife breathes easier knowing where I am, that I'm safe and have the ability to launch a SOS if necessary

Absolutely recommend this for anyone traveling where there won't be cell service! I used this while hiking/camping and it allowed me to communicate with family and friends & the SOS feature gave me peace of mind out in the wilderness. I was a first time user and was able to figure it out just fine, although I'm still getting used to using only a couple of buttons to type and navigate on the little screen. I don't think I'll ever do a non-cell service hike without this again!
