Very disappointed with this. The plastic feels very poor compared to all other GoPro stuff and it seems its not been designed well either because it simply will not attach to anything because the 3 pins are too close together. Forcing it, which takes some doing, into place just bends the outer pins outwards so the screw then cannot run through the holes because the pins are bent. I imagine using this for about a week would end up with either the shorty pins broken or the GoPro housing thing bent and/or broken too. 3 of us spent about 20 minutes with this and gave up. Booked a return before GoPro even knew the item had been delivered!
The camera is heavier than the tripod and when windy it falls. Maybe if the opening of the legs would be closer to the ground it would be more stable. A bit too expensive for what it is.
Like a few too many GoPro items, it's quite a bit of money for some plastic. It is however a very good mount. Nice and small arm to get a few different angles, quickly turns into a small tripod and it all fits in your pocket. It is almost too light though. Would love this even more in a metal version or something as the quality of the plastic doesn't inspire too much confidence to stand some more active use or stand the test of time.
The price was holding me off, but then I was gifted this and I absolutely love it. It's so compact and easy to use, and has enough features to justify the price. If you're not looking too much into the extreme sporty side of using your GoPro, this is probably for you. Great for travel shooting and every day use, but probably not for extreme sports. The only thing I don't like is the lack of strap, but I just added my own :)
Bought this for my hero black 6, its a good lightweight little product. However the go pro is too heavy for it and the bottom most part of the extension is weighed down so there are only really the top two part of the extension. All in all though its a good handy little product
