It's just OK

It's a decent covering but it gets stuck multiple times when trying to open and close it. Also if you are short like me, 5'2", have a step stool handy to reach the short ribbon that you grab to move it. I'm going to have to lengthen it.

Really great pergola for our yard

As some have said the instructions arenﾡﾯt super specific but if youﾡﾯve ever built LEGO off the included diagram you can do this. Do yourself a favor and use some kind of drill or impact driver and not the included allen wrenches and get at least two buddies to help put it up.That said, once itﾡﾯs assembled and anchored into concrete itﾡﾯs absolutely solid and we couldnﾡﾯt be more thrilled! The retractable shade is great and if you pull iit closed when not in use it should stand up to the rain and wind for years to come !

Nice looking & fairly easy to assemble.I have completed the assembly with base facing the sky, if you do this way, make sure you have 3 or 4 people at the end to flip it to standing position, was worried for stability so i filled them with small pebbles i gathered from my yard : ). Now they feel sturdy!

this 10 x 13 pergola was perfect fit for our raised deck. I was continually amazing at the engineering that went into designing it. My only complaint is the "instructions" were far from adequate- you have to study the drawings in order to get this together the right way. There are no written instructions to accompany the drawings. We had to "re-build 3 times to get it right.

Love this! We mounted this on a deck with our bbq and it makes the area look so much better, as well as giving us shade on our bedroom window from the summer sun! Win, win!
