We bought this game years ago when it was just called "Funemployed" (I guess it was sold to Mattel?).. We have bought it online as gifts for friends. I can't remember if our way of playing is one of the ways in the instructions but we always have a blast.
How we play: One person starts as the Employer/Boss. They flip over the job card. Everyone is dealt 4 attribute cards (there were some blank cards but we removed them) and the boss gets one attribute card for each applicant. All applicants look at their cards. Any attribute card must be played as literal as possible and as what you DO have as a condition. Any card that gives a condition like deaf in one ear, stuttering, etc., you must act out from the beginning of your interview. The boss asks general questions like "Why do you want to be a (job card)? Tell me about yourself. What other qualifications do you have?" to allow the player to reveal all attributes. Finally, the boss plays one of their attribute cards on the player as a surprise attribute. This continues for all applicants. The boss decides who gets the job (card). Then boss goes to next person in clockwise. All played attribute cards go in discard pike. There are lots of cards to continue playing for hours. Winner is who has most jobs when everyone agrees to stop playing. No one cares. We all just died laughing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im not sure what age group this is geared towards but the game instructions did not make sense. We tried several times to play but could not engage. It was not fun in anyway and would not recommend anyone to buy this game.

Only for the creative.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a creative person, I don't come up with stuff off the top of my head very easily, so this game really wasn't for me. I can see it being funny in a group of people who are highly creative and have a good sense of humor, but I do really struggle with that as do the family members I played with, so I struggled to enjoy this game.

Fun for 3+ people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The game itself is very clever and makes you think on your feet. We did have a good laugh at some of the ideas we came up with. My only complaint is that it is a 3+ person game. More often than not its my husband and myself that would want to play and it really doesn't work unless you have a small group.

Fun game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a Bad Interviews card game for free in exchange of my honest opinion.
We played 4 people (best friends) on a Saturday night over a few drinks. Each round took less than 10 minutes, but I imagine that with more people it would take longer to play. We had a blast and laughed a lot. That being said, we believe that this game is not for everyone, you need to be open minded and take the game/cards for what it is, a game. However some people might be “sensitive” to some of the cards on the game.
If you remove the “adult cards”, you could totally make the game family friendly. This card game has two variations to it, and we thought the variations are way more fun than the basic rules.
The game has some cards with abbreviations, and words that makes it not friendly for non native English speakers (that is why I gave four stars and not five). Overall it is a fun quick card game if you are with the right crowd.

Fun but Labor intensive right out of the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The game itself sounded fun and I thought we would enjoy playing this as a family due to our varied work histories. However, it was very complicated, and you had to manage many “characteristics”, answer questions, and display them. We kept having to refer to the instructions and it became a labor intensive game. As a whole we did not find it to be our preferred game and gave up after 40 minutes. This is not a game to play brand new out of the box. Buy it, review the game play, introduce yourself to the cards, test play, then invite everyone over. It could be a blast for the right group of friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun and fast adult game. Played with my adult kids, it was a night full of laughs and creativity. The game seemed to move smoothly and quickly. You do need to be quick on your feet to figure out how to make your chosen card work within your interview.

Bad Interview Required

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We played funemployed on a rainy evening with 2 couple friends. It offers an opportunity to be creative so you have to be playing with people who like to have fun. It tests your interview skills as both manager and applicant. Its funny hearing your friends doing their best to react to a bad interview. Be sure to be familiar with game rules before your gathering so its easy to explain in large group settings. This game may bring up memories of your own bad job experiences. Definitely a crowd pleaser.
