Step can mechanism

I didn't think it would make such a big difference from the hand opening mechanism of a previous version, but it does. No more dirty fingerprints on the lid when opening and closing the can. I also like that there isn't a separate insert to lift up for changing the bags. I just hope the new step mechanism will last as long as they say it will.

Too Lightweight and Wobbly

I have been the owner of a butterfly step trash can from SimpleHuman for over 20 years...and have loved it! The only reason I needed to purchase a new trash can was because my springs were worn out and I was told they were no longer available. I was so happy with that trash can, that I knew I would purchase another SimpleHuman trash can to replace it. The new one came, and it is so lightweight and wobbly that it constantly moves. After opening it a few times, I have to move it back in place. This is a complete annoyance. Also, the step to open the lid is very uncomfortable on the foot...almost painful. I am really not happy with my purchase and wish I could get rid of it.

Simplehuman for LIFE!!

I have used Simplehuman trash cans for over 14 years. The cost of these cans can get a bit pricey but are well worth it. The trash cans are well made, stylish, and the company stands behind their product 100%!!! I have tried the rest and have found the best, in Simplehuman!!!

My favorite trashcan brand

The old style butterfly slim trashcan for 20 years or more and I absolutely loved it but then I was looking for a trashcan for my youngest daughter who moved out and stumbled upon the slim style that’s not butterfly and it doesn’t have the insert trashcan anymore and I fell in love with it so I bought myself one and I got her one as well

This is the best trash can there is

We purchased this because the lid broke on our first one due to force shutting it when we shouldn’t have (oops!) We love this trash can because it has withstood our dogs many attempts at getting into it and it’s been 4 years and she still hasn’t been able to get the trash! 10/10 recommend.
