This beautiful can is exactly as expected. What surprised and delighted me was the all-paper/cardboard packaging. I was able to flatten and recycle everything except the soft-tissue lid cover. And that, happily, a friend wants for her artwork.
I've never paid this much for a trash can for my kitchen - however, every one I had in the past was underneath my sink so wasn't exposed - this one is sitting in the kitchen so I realized I wanted something attractive to look art that was also well made and worked well. This fit the bill
This is a nice-looking trash can, as far as that goes, but the main gripe I have is that when I step on the pedal, the entire back half of the can lifts up and the can scoots around on the floor. Despite being made of mostly steel, the plastic bottom (especially the back, lid mechanism side) isn't heavy enough to keep it in place. Or, I guess my trash isn't heavy enough. It's very annoying.
What I like so much about this trash can is its' slimness, the fact that there will be relatively no fingermarks (a pet peeve of mine about stainless), and the fact that it is aesthetically pleasing.
In love with our trash can! Isn’t that weird sounding lol. We replaced our dual bin trash can with this and feel like there is more room. Design looks great in our kitchen as well.
