Really love my new garbage can. Bought my first one in September 2019. Bought both my son and my daughter one for each of their houses. In January 2020 I contact simplehuman about an issue with my can. They ended up sending me a new one. They do stand behind their products

This trash can was a little taller than I imagined--my fault for not checking the dimensions. Nevertheless, it is a great addition to our kitchen, with smooth opening and quiet closing, a tidy ring to capture the top of the bag, and an elegant look.

Love this trash can. Beautiful to look at. Had a problem with the first one as it wouldn't stay all the way open when you wanted to take out your full trash bag. But simplehuman was great to work with and replaced my trash can almost immediately. I'm sure this can will work as it should.
