This is my second SH kitchen trash can—and like the 17-year-old half circle SH kitchen can it replaced - I love it! (No, I’m not pathetic - if you haven’t had a SH trash can before, buy one and you’ll be in love too). The cans are very sturdy- I just noticed a few months ago my old can’s lid began slipping off the lift mechanism approximately 45 liter can, which I loved, was at least 17 years old and the lid finally and far outlived any other metal can I’ve had ( except maybe my 1. 4 liter SH bathroom step can- purchased about the same time!). I recently purchased this step can and found it to be quite efficient. It’s noticeably lighter than the stainless steel version, which is something to keep in mind depending on your needs. While it functions well, I think I’ll go for the stainless steel version next time for a sturdier feel.

actually makes me not hate having a trashcan

I've always hated shopping for trashcans, but this one has made me not mind having a visible one in our kitchen! We got the white one with small silver details, and it matches perfectly with our kitchen and looks really nice, modern, and clean. Taking the trash bags in and out is really easy, which is so nice after having a previous trash can that made it difficult to do so. Would recommend!

I upgraded from a round 35l can that is 8 years old and still working great because I moved to a new house. This rectangle can is perfect. Works great and looks sleek and clean.
