Light consistently dims while being used

Either my purchase is defective or this is a design flaw because every time I use this mirror, either plucking eyebrows or applying eye makeup it does not realize there is a face over the sensor and the light dims or turns off altogether. I spend my time tapping the sensor or moving my face around which makes whatever I am trying to use the mirror for that much more difficult. 0/10 - would not recommend at all.

Only lighted mirror worth it

I love this mirror but in the past four months I have had to keep ordering and returning as either the lights worked or didn’t or worked for a few weeks.
I have had these mirrors for years and never had an issue until now.
For those of us with really bad eyes this is the only brand of lighted mirror I can ever see anything with so will continue to use them.

Worth the money

Great mirror. I had one, my husband accidentally broke it. I bought a cheaper mirror that was supposed to be same strength and light. Not even close! I ordered another simplehuman and love it.
