I had a compost caddy, what a difference. Less flies. Clean look. Easy to use sits on cutting board and looks good. My error, but I wouldn’t change my decisions, it doesn’t dock on my butterfly can. I fortunately have a standing steel shelf rack and dock on it next to my butterfly can.
I grew up watching my mother save vegetable scraps and burying them in her garden. I try to do this as well by keeping a container on the counter. BUT I typically have to stop and open unclasp the top so there are many time I just those in the trash. With this compost caddy attached to my simple smart trash can, it is so easy to lift the lid with a cutting board and just brush the scraps in. It also comes with biodegradable bags that I can easy bury in the ground. I love it.
Looks great, keeps nats away. However, it does collect moisture so the lid and bottom become wet, but that is a tradeoff I accepted in order to not attract nats.
Bought this along with my first simplehuman trash can. Installation super easy, comes with a pack of compostable trash bags, doesn't stink. What more could you ask for?!
