Nice product, very excessive packaging

Hi,
I received the compost caddy and it works great. But I was really surprised and disappointed in how much packaging you used to ship it. The box was gigantic - ie contributing to higher emissions from shipping - and filled with different kinds of packing material including plastic air bubbles, which are terrible for the environment and very hard to recycle. A much smaller box with only paper padding would have worked fine, it seems to me. (when you send the large garbage cans, for example, I don't think they have much padding and they do fine.) I'm hoping you revisit your packaging design for smaller products. Thanks.

This keeps your compost within easy reach for convenient use, but keeps it out of sight in a nice container. Inner can lift right out for easy, no mess transfer to your outdoor composting location.

Handy caddy

This is a great caddy to use for that disposible kitchen grease, meat and other wrappings, uneaten food, etc that either stinks up the garbage or that you place in a bag in the freezer before the garbage goes out. No mess, no smell abosolutely no problem!

Easy countertop compost

This compost caddy does not fit my existing Simplehuman garbage/recycle bin (and I don’t like the design of the compatible one). So although I really wish this attached to the side of the bin like designed, I have mine on my countertop. The profile is still pretty nice and the lid is extremely easy to open & close. I have not noticed any odors so it must seal well, though it doesn’t have a locking mechanism. It’s easy to care for/clean and I appreciate the matching compostable bags for this bin.

Compost caddy

As with all the SH products, great design, simple, attractive, modern and functional. I wanted this caddy for awhile and received it as a gift. It’s everything I imagined and even better. Has made kitchen composting enjoyable and easier, and keeps my kitchen looking clean and freed up space in the double sink where I had been keeping my (unsightly) composting before! Only issue is that the bags which came with it Lakeview liquid each time so I need to clean out the inner plastic container - not a big deal but I was not expecting the bags to leak. Guess since they’re compostable, they’re not too waterproof. Great product and I’m loving it!!
