Great Caddy for Food Scraps

This is a perfect size caddy to keep next to my sink to discard food scraps. I also bought the biodegradable bags that fit the inside container, they make it so easy to take the food scraps out of the caddy and dispose in my green container without having to wash the compost caddy out. I also really like that this compost caddy keeps the food odor trapped inside the caddy and not circulating in my kitchen.

It serves it's purpose and it looks good ... it matches all my other stainless steel appliances. At first I thought it looked too, too big, but the size is good for a week of compost items. I have it on my counter since it look too bulky hanging on my garbage can. Just another smart and attractive product by Simplehuman.

Amazing countertop trash bin

It's easy to wipe down and it looks nice on my countertop. It's also sturdy so it doesn't get knocked over while I'm cooking and moving things around.

Great Small Recycle Container

I had been using a plastic container for organic waste but this device with a cover works great for coffee grounds, food scraps, uneaten kitty food and vegetable trimmings.

Compost Caddy looks sleek but smells awful

I like the ability to compost next to my sink and this is nicer looking than other indoor composters. After first use I washed with warm soapy water, rinsed with hot hot water. Tried to soak out the garbage smell with diluted bleach.
And yes, of course I used the biodegradable bags.
At least there is no smell when device is closed.

Works great!

We attached it to our big can, we’re concerned it might be in the way. Nope, it’s a perfect size, bags can’t get over-full and it’s easy to remove them. We added the idor-stopper disc for good measure.
