Let's fruit flies in

We bought this because of the lid which supposedly would keep any fruit flies out. Unfortunately, there is a lip on the lid which keeps it slightly ajar. We now are dealing with a fruit fly problem in our house. Have contacted simplehuman for a solution... but no success yet. We really want this to work. Please contact us.

Z liners are compostable.

A bit small but we’ll made

It’s a great looking compost bin, just a bit small for my needs. I attached it to the side of my large SimpleHuman trash can and to my surprise, there’s a feature that I think has a magnet on the lid and it sticks to the trash can to keep the lid open. With how expensive it is, (1/3 cost of my trash can) I would’ve hoped that the lid has a soft close function and that it comes with way more compost bags.

I moved into an apartment and having this under my sink for coffee grounds, food scraps, etc. is so convenient. The shape and size is perfect.
One note about the bags -- they are a little thin. I've been letting my coffee grounds dry a bit in a bowl on the counter before placing them in the compost caddy (before I did that the moisture from the grounds caused the bag to tear).
