I’m obsessed

Our last trash can was a different brand, smaller but similar, and we have been wanting to get a larger can for some time. It also had an inner can and removing the trash bag was always a hassle because the lid would close while we were trying to get the bag in and out. We had enough of it and FINALLY took the plunge on this simplehuman can and I’m so glad we did. This can is pricey, but it’s definitely worth it. My favorite features are the stay-open lid when removing the bag, the dispenser/liner pocket built in to the inside/back of the can (so no more futzing around with the box of trash bags in a separate cupboard), and the scent control pods that attach to the inner lid. We got it in white and it’s wonderful that the trash is no longer an eyesore. Also, the lack of an inner can liner allows for less trips to the dumpster (once per week instead of twice per week which is HUGE!). I’m truly obsessed with this trash can. So glad we purchased it!!

Trash is now a breeze

I used to dread having to take the trash out of the can, wrestling with both the can and the bag, and then replacing the bag. But now the whole process is so easy and streamlined. The white bags are unexpectedly fresh and reliable. No more trash stress!

Good but not perfect

The SS finished lid is nice to look at but not worth the race off of added weight over the plastic lid on the other models. Overall a great trashcan. closed the lid and apron have an anxiety inducing sideways wobble to them. That coupled with the heavy lid has me doubt this trash can will make it past 10 years but other than that, same old great simplehuman trashcan! SS finish matches the appliances well and the bag pocket works great. Very big too! The trash will definitely start to ferment before you need to take it out.

I love this can! The ease of which the pedal and lid works, as well as how well the full bags come out, makes this can a winner. I haven’t tried regular tall kitchen liners in yet, just the ones that came with it. Type Q bags came in a sample pack, and I love how they fit and lift out. I might buy more of them, we shall see. My husband is still getting over the price tag of the can itself. I love how sleek it is. We bought the black Matt version. I would love to get the large dish drainer next. Wish it came in Matt black too.

I bought 2 step cans for lakehouse- it solved the problem of guests throwing trash in cans and food dropping on outside of trash bags! My husband has been laughing at me about being so happy over trash cans. He said he wished he had bought them for me as a gift since I was bragging to everyone about them LOL
