Love the look and how it functions

We got this compost caddy to replace a similarly sized round compost bucket with a handle and completely removable lid that we kept under our kitchen sink. After getting annoyed by constantly pulling the bucket out from under the sink, I decided to look for another option and found this one. It looks good enough that my wife would consider letting me leave it on the counter (which is a big deal!). I usually leave it docked to our larger simplehuman trash can, but it’s very easy to undock and place on the counter when you’re actively cooking. I also love that the lid is attached and stays open if you open it all the way. The only con is getting used to the rectangular shape coming from a round can with a slightly larger opening. I’ve definitely spilled coffee grounds all over once already and had a couple more close calls with mess. Overall, I could not recommend this more. We replaced two full sized trash cans and this caddy and the new can fit perfectly in the place of just one of the old cans. I’m so happy with the improved function of our setup!

Compost caddy

This is a well made little counter top compost caddy. As with all simple human products, it is clean looking and simply a must have. I like to have a bowl to put in vegetable or fruit peels when I’m cooking and this is perfect for it. I also love that it clips to the trash can. Highly recommend this product.

Hacked to work with 3rd party can

I really like this can and I’m glad I bought it for a few reasons. 1. It works with my 3rd party(non Simple Human). I had to bend the hook with a pliers, but it works great! 2. The quality of the can is unparalleled. I was worried about it attracting flies or smelling bad, but somehow it doesn’t. The bag liners are the best quality I’ve ever used and they don’t leak as long as you empty every other day. Fast shipping and exactly as described.

So Far So Good.

Love the idea of a contained food waste composting container to minimize the food oders and to compost it as well. The stainless steel container looks great in the kitchen and traps unpleasant odors. I am giving it the “ test of time” to see how it holds up and works for me.

Was hesitant to purchase cause my can has a curved front. It does not work with the curved butterfly can, mine is seven years old and still in perfect condition. But I put it on my counter and very happy with it.
