…Not so good a few months later. The lid stays open when you step on the foot pedal. Even manually closing the lid, there is a slight gap. I was under the impression we are paying for quality with simplehuman products?

Perfect trash can for small bathrooms

Great little trash can that is attractive and fits well in small bathrooms. I liked the first one I ordered so well that I got another for my second bathroom. Very convenient to have liners stored inside the can.

I got the white for my bathrooms. They are very nice and compact. I like the soft close lid. Like them but they do look a little bit industrial or something that I wish I didn’t think about them. Could be slightly redesigned a little different looking

Great Aesthetic, Room for Improvement

I love the looks of this can and all simple human products. It’s everything I’ve come to expect from a simple human trash can (separate interior container, exact fit liners and liner storage) which is all functional. There is room for improvement though. The step that opens the can isn’t designed to go all the way to the floor when you’ step to open the can, and because it’s so light, the whole back of the can lifts off the floor when trying to get the flap fully open. This leads to it shifting around every time I throw something away. I believe this could easily be resolved by adding a little weight in the base of the can as well as adding something under the step to act as a stop, which would prevent the whole can from lifting off the floor, for “heavy steppers.” It wouldn’t be an issue except that the step has to be fully depressed to get the lid fully open.
