Keeps out the bugs!

I like the design of this compost can. Its rectangular shape makes better use of countertop space (as compared to the more common cylindrical shapes on the market). It doesn't fit my simplehuman trashcan model, but I knew that before buying it.
It has a nice clean look and yes indeed, it does a fine job to keep out the little fruit flies that love compost.
I'm a fan!

It is the perfect size for our family of two who eats vegetables and fruit every day. We used to have a bigger one and food would rot, liquefy and would attract flies. With this caddy, it never happens. I'd rather drop the food in the compost bin more frequently than having to deal with a dirty caddy. It is very convenient to have it on the side of the garbage c can and it is pleasant to look at when it is on the kitchen counter. Cleaning it is an easy and fast task.

Great place to store compast - no smell!

Really happy with my purchase of this compost container! I originally wondered if we would smell the food scraps since this would be kept inside, but we don't. The lid seals well and we never smell a thing!

Love having this caddy. It is very handy, just wish it opened automatically like the trash can. I do find the bag has to be changed frequently, so the bag won’t start decomposing.

I hung this sweet little caddy on the inside of my kitchen cabinet and it is so easy to use there is no excuse to not use it. And it's so easy to empty there's no excuse to not empty it on the regular! Simple, elegant, easy. What more could you want? I know: not smelly! It really keeps the odor from creeping out. Very pleased with my purchase.

Compost caddy - too small

I have a SimpleHuman compost bucket that I purchased several years ago that I like much better than the new one, which is simply not big enough. I can fill it up in a day or two and sometimes after one meal if I am doing a modest amount of cooking. The compostable liner bags are a nice improvement, as is the plastic inner bucket, which is easy to clean. My older SH compost bin is cylindrical, and has a charcoal filter in the lid to suppress odors, which is a nice feature. Add back the charcoal filter to the new model and make and double or triple the capacity and I'll give it 5 stars.
