Great size, but attach to trash can a bit wobbly

I got this because the container provided by my compost service is 10 gallons. This size is great and I love I can put it on the counter during cooking. I do find that the hanger mechanism is a bit wobbly when I'm attaching container back to trash, or if I brush it while walking by. But overall, very happy with function and appearance.

Biggest problem with the compost

Biggest problem with the compost caddy is the compostable bag liners. They start falling apart and leaking in the plastic liner before I get it to the compost pit outside.

I purchased this compost caddy as our trash company informed us that we would need to start collecting food items and dispose in green trash. This caddy is small but mighty. Holds a lot of items and when food is inside it does not smell. It does exactly as indicated on the description.

great compost bin

my city recently required us to compost and this little bin attaches to the side of our existing trash can which is just perfect. This keeps the bin off the kitchen counter where we already have a lot of gadgets. I thought the smell would be a concern, but so far, two weeks in and the lid is nice and heavy to keep the smells contained. Great buy!!!!

Holds moisture and falls off trash can

While the aesthetic matches my Simple Human kitchen trash can, the compost bin is not great for compost. Most compost bins have air filtration so you don’t need to replace the liner as often. Additionally, if you plan to take this off and on your trash can, be aware that the sticky attachment magnet falls off easily.

Good solid product

Would have preferred the lid to be tightly closed, and has a sensor open like the trash bin as well (perhaps with a coin size battery). Also would be better if it's wider on the short side (ie. not as narrow). Other than that it's a nice solid product.
