Great addition to the dual trash/recycling containers!

I absolutely love this compost caddy! It opens so smoothly, closes just as smoothly and I love that you can easily attach it to the side of the trash/recycling bin. Compostable bag refills are conveniently located on the backside pocket. Overall I give it 10 out of 10 stars.

Great caddy, Z liners are only so-so

Love my compost caddy. It holds a good amount of food waste and looks stylish on my counter top. I haven't had issues thus far with odor or flies. My only complaint is that the Simplehuman Z liners keep tearing while inside the bin - I suspect that the moisture from the food waste is causing them to start to break down. I haven't left my bin sitting for more than 4-5 days so it's surprising to me that the bags are falling apart within such a short timeframe. The bin itself is fantastic but I will likely look elsewhere for compost bags!

What took me so long?

Such a simple thing. This compost caddy fits perfectly on the side of my SimpleHuman trash can. It makes composting so much more efficient than using plastic recycled containers that end up getting stained and cracked. We make our own compost, and this feels like a neat upgrade to our process. It works. It cleans up easily. And it even looks good.

Kitchen scraps

Makes our food prep a lot easier as I set it on the counter while I peel veggies and fruits. I empty it out every other day and so far have not had any odor issues. Bucket is super easy to wash and rinse out.

Attractive not functional

Fruit flies could get in but not out due to a gap where the lid sits - every time I opened the lid, flies flew out! Returned
