My dishwasher broke and instead of buying a new one, I bought the simplehuman dish rack. It is pretty much perfect — has all the right holding areas, cup accommodations, and a wine glass rack to boot (my wine glasses are stemless so there’s that).
Short of doing the dishes itself, I’d say it’s winning. 5 stars!
I purchased a white "steel frame" dishrack, but it's all plastic. Where is the steel frame? The box with the dishrack has a picture of the dishrack with a steel frame. That was what the description is referring to...quite disappointing.
The feet should be placed at least 1 inch inward so the overhang of dripping water from utensil basket goes into the sink and not the countertop. Then it would be perfect!
Price goes up and quality goes down. I had the bamboo version of this dish rack for years. I’m not sure why they’ve changed it. More plastic, less metal, no more knife block, and a drip spout that doesn’t seem to drip. Weight is noticeably lighter too, which makes me feel like the plastic won’t hold up. With an added wineglass rack, maybe they’re just hoping we’re all be too drunk to notice?!?
