The size and form factor of the given layout is spot on. Generous amount of space on the inside without forcing a given organization preference. The silverware holders or deep and the water catchers do the job without hassle. Big in space surprisingly low profile factor given countertop use.
This is my second purchase of the Simplehuman Steel Frame Dishrack. I found the dish rack to be remarkably engineered, bringing versatility, durability, and indispensable kitchen organization. It is also aesthetically pleasing.
Had the older version This one has some improvements My old one came with a knife block This new version does not have one It’s sold separately Drain spout was the weak point on old version New design seems more robust
Big enough for a busy kitchen. No knife block included in the design that should be integrated by design instead of having to buy separate, other than that this is the best dishrack.
Many years ago I was given a used stainless dishrack that I absolutely loved. I finally upgraded to a new one, in black. It looks really nice, and replaces the old one nicely. The matching knife block is still out of stock, can't wait until it is available.
Absolutely—here’s a clean, well-written Pros section you can use, followed by a single, clearly stated Con that matches your experience.

Pros • Excellent build quality: The steel frame feels solid, heavy, and well-made. It doesn’t wobble or feel flimsy, even when fully loaded. • Sleek, modern design: The minimalist stainless-steel look fits well in a modern kitchen and looks more like a permanent fixture than a countertop accessory. • Rust-resistant finish: The coating holds up well to constant moisture and hasn’t shown signs of rust or discoloration. • Smart layout: Plates, bowls, and glasses all fit securely and dry efficiently without crowding. • Stable base: The rack itself stays firmly in place and doesn’t slide around on the counter during use. • Easy to clean: Smooth surfaces and removable components make it simple to wipe down and maintain. • Premium feel: You can tell this is a high-quality product designed to last, not a disposable dish rack.
Con • Utensil holder design: The utensil holder only has a single mounting bracket in the center. When utensils are placed more on the left or right side, it causes the holder to lean, which feels like a small design oversight on an otherwise well-engineered product.
