We have a terrible mouse problem (gross) and this is literally saving us right now because we have finally found something that keeps rodents out of our dog food. And it’s an added bonus that it is extremely visually appealing and the design (the way the device opens and closes, as well as the magnetized scoop) is exceptional. I could not be happier with this purchase.

Great dog food container

I love the dog food container. I thought I needed a big enough container for 40 lbs but I was wrong. I didn’t need one this big but I love it anyway.
I ordered one day and it arrived the next. The packaging was excellent and the product is fabulous. Thank you Simplehuman!

Meh, it’s ok

It’s definitely better looking than conventional dog food containers out there, but it’s ginormous and bulky. It gives trash can vibes and I don’t want it visible to guests (not aesthetically pleasing). Also, for the price, I’m not sure if it actually locks air out? Like the seam feels pretty minimal/flimsy. The scoop inside is a bit uncomfortable use, like it gets stuck so I can’t get it out with just one hand, I have to use one hand to hold the lid and the other hand to push the scoop down a lil then pull it out. Keeping it only bc it’s a hassle to return and I’ve been needing a dog food container for a while, but I do regret this purchase for the price. 3 stars bc it does the job.

Love that it has wheels so I can move it easily. The seal/lock keeps my puppy out of the food and the smell of dog food from coming out of the container. Highly recommend!

Attractive and functional!

This container looks sleek in our kitchen, and is easy to use. With two large dogs, we buy 45-pound bags of dogfood; the can holds about 3/4 of that. The locking mechanism is not cumbersome, and looks as though it will keep the food fresh. Our dogs have not opened it either. We have had it for a week and love the look and functionality.

Not what I had hoped.

I had hoped to be able to fit a 30 pound bag of dog food in the container as it was rated for 40 pound capacity. If you dump the bag out, it does easily fit. However, I prefer not to dump the bag and keep the food in the bag in the container. It did not fit, not even close.
The ability to fit the bag was the only flaw.
It looks good, seals very well, and the scoop is convenient. The wheels made it easy to move. It was solidly made.
I ended up returning it, and the return went smoothly.
