Customer service is good, product lacks

Customer service is very helpful and quick to act. I like the product, but for all the engineering put into this product, and for the price, I would expect the wheels to actually work and be of higher quality. When trying pull the can, the wheels contact the wheel well thus restricting the wheels from rolling. This was an issue with both cans I received. My elderly grandfather cannot lift the can when it's full and I liked the idea that he could pull it along. This is not the case as the plastic axle of the wheel is not stable and has lots of wiggle room, allowing the wheel to be pressed against the wheel well when the can has dog food it in. This happens regardless of the surface it's on; carpet, tile, or linoleum. If you could fix this issue I believe this would be a 5 star product.

Attractive Alternative

We had a plastic bin that was designed for dog food and the Simplehuman pet food can is such a nicer alternative.
There is a locking lid that seems genius, however, the one we have always needs manual ajdustment for the lid to actually lock. I have to push the handle into alignment each and every time.

Nice looking

Very nice, however it does NOT hold forty pounds of food. We have forty pound bags of dog food and it probably holds about 35 pounds. Not a deal breaker but now we have a partial bag of food and nowhere to put it. We only bought it because it was supposed to hold the entire bag of dog food.

This is my second one I have purchased, I have dogs that need different food. I have my original from about six years ago still doing great. Excellent purchase and looks great in the kitchen. Strongly recommend for convenience, and freshness!

Beautiful container or it was. Very pricey so disappointed it didn’t last long. I guess not the containers fault it’s not as tough as my dog.
