Sensor Model Didn't Last, Trying the Stepper Version

I purchased the same 58L trash can with the motion sensor about three years ago. While the trash can itself has held up well, the sensor no longer works effectively. I recently purchased the newer 58L model with the step pedal instead of the sensor. Overall, I find these trash cans to be durable and well-made. I'm hopeful that the step pedal model will provide better long-term reliability, but only time will tell how it holds up.

Good product first one lasted a while but unfortunately broke and replacement parts were not available. This is our second one and still love it.
