Trashcan is good, but bags do not trap smell

The trash can itself is great but the trash bags do not trap the smell whatsoever, it reeks by the end of the day. I ven have the odor neutralizers installed that they included but it does a really bad job of eliminating smells.

Even our toddler can do the step. Had a few issues with the lid but simple human stands by their warranty, just got a whole new bin 4 years in.
