Not pedal assist!

I should have done more research before buying. This bike is not pedal assist at all. The motor is basically useless as it does not provide any assistance while pedaling.
If you have your feet on the pedals but don't pedal, it does not move no matter what level you are on. . I ordered for my wife who has bad knees and was hoping it would assist her in pedaling but unfortunately it doesn't. It will work for her somewhat but it's not what i thought it would be. With that said we will probably keep it. I did give 4 stars though. because it was my mistake for not doing my homework. If you are looking for a pedal assist bike however, this is not.
