Very much same with properly located CTL and Fn keys <g> Only downside is that my Gen 8 had touch screen and this Gen 12 does not. Otherwise, just the generational improvements as expected. Still the best laptop out there

Disappointing Battery Life and Fingerprint Magnet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the Lenovo 14" Gen 12 Intel laptop, but it hasn't lived up to my expectations. While the performance is overall decent and the sleek black case looks nice, the battery life is a major letdown. Even with moderate use, the charge drains much faster than expected, requiring me to stay near an outlet far too often. Not great for traveling or working in other locations.
Additionally, the finish on the lid and the front part of the keyboard is a complete fingerprint magnet. If you care about keeping your laptop looking clean, you'll need to invest in a skin or cover to avoid constant smudges. For a modern laptop, I expected better in these areas. If battery longevity and design durability are important to you, I’d recommend exploring other options.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
