I bought otterbox knowing it is the best for protection. However, I never imagined the back of my phone would shatter. Not only that, i have no idea when or how it shattered. Other than it is a clear case and i saw all the cracks through it. Now I need to not get my phone wet so it doesn't get ruined due to a case that did not protect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1 Star Because 0 Wasn't A Choice

I've used Otterbox for years and previously had this exact model for my iPhone 12 Pro for almost two years. I ordered an identical replacement simply because the clear edges were getting a little discolored, and within just a few weeks of having the new case, the back glass of my phone was completely shattered. Based on other recent reviews, Otterbox needs to look into its production, because these cases are no longer performing as promised, and they are absolutely not worth the money anymore. I've dropped this phone numerous times in my old Otterbox and not once did I have any damage that came close to what I experienced with my brand new case.The case itself only had a few nicks in it and was still under warranty, but the actual phone needed any entirely new back that cost me hundreds. I've always thought Otterbox was the best protection my phone could get, but based on this experience and the other reviews here, don't waste your money. The case might be fine if you drop it, but your phone won't.

Very very upset

I have been using this protective case for years. The one time I drop my phone today was with this case at a swim meet, not even a foot in the air. It was not until I got to my seat when i realized basically my entire phone screen was shattered. I am so upset right now. Otterbox please do better.

I’ve had numerous OtterBox iPhone cases over the years, but I recently purchased this case for my iPhone 12 about a month ago, and today I noticed my back glass was shattered. Considering I always keep my case on my phone, I was very upset to see that it was not effective against normal wear and tear. Be cautious getting one of these cases as they may not be as protective as you would like. Otherwise, it’s a very cute case. It does brown o the sides relatively quickly.

Case took weeks to ship and when it came it was scratched. Gets scratched on the back very easily and became yellow tinted quickly.
