Great Keyboard, but...

This is a great keyboard. The battery life is excellent (usually a week), and a quick charge later, it's good to go. Staying connected to my MacBook Air can be a challenge 10% of the time, but it always seems to be when I need it the most. Waking up from inactivity does take about 5seconds. It's not immediate, but once I have this figured out, it is not too noticeable.

Useful Keyboard

I am enjoying using my new SM 1 Slim Mechanical Bluetooth Keyboard with my M4 MacBook Pro, resting it directly on top of the Mac's keyboard, as I do not like the Mac's track pad, so the SM1 keyboard fits nicely on top of the Mac. That position location was not my initial desire for keyboard placement, which brings me to my one notable comment. It would be better if the keyboard's charging cable / power cable port was placed at the rear of the left side of the keyboard, not the rear side of the keyboard. I like using the cable for normal keyboard power and also like having the keyboard not on top of the Mac keyboard but on the table top pushed up flush against the Mac, but can't do that when using the charging/power cable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

very nice keyboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It matches all my expectations with Satechi products. Great design and quality. Would be nice if it has a linear switch option, it can be a bit loud to use in a shared office space. Otherwise it's a perfect keyboard for me.

Functionalist's dream keyboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a keyboard aficionado, but I'm a productivity beast. This keyboard is fast, registers the strokes with super accuracy, and connection to multiple devises is very reliable. I know you can go much higher with the price range of mechanical keyboards, and I'm sure some justifies it. But I don't know what else you can expect more from a keyboard from a productivity, quality and reliability standpoints. Highly recommended.

very nice keyboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the battery life! I charged the keyboard overnight when I first unboxed it, and a month later, with daily use, my Mac still says the battery is at 100%. Note: This is with the backlighting mostly turned off, I only use it occasionally when it's really dark and I don't feel like turning on the overhead light in my home office.I like the way the key legends are toward the top of the keys, which should hopefully eliminate the issue I had with another keyboard -- where the visible letter was starting to wear away on the keys I use the most (home row under the left hand, especially the A and S keys).It goes dormant if not used for 30 minutes, and it takes a few seconds to reactivate and reconnect over bluetooth after pressing a key. I also have to activate it twice when I first power up my MacBook Pro -- first to enter my logon password, and again after I am signed in and ready to work.
I would recommend this to a friend!
