Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MEGA Halo Renegade Banshee says that it is for ages 13 and up so this is definitely not for a younger child. My husband put it together in about 3 hours. This is his first time doing this and he loved it! It was so fun that he wants me to buy another set for Christmas. It looks very nice and I recommend it for any adult that is a Halo fan. The instructions were very clear. It doesn't come with a stand so it will have to be purchased separately.

Great toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really cool toy. My son loved it! Fun, imaginative and durable. It held his interest all day and it's a nice break from electronics. I'd highly recommend if your kid is a fan of this toy line. You won't be disappointed.

It was easy to put together and he has it on display in his room with his other gaming memorabilia. Anybody who loves Halo will love these! Definitely recommend for you gamer and Lego lover!

Mega Halo renegade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Totally played with this toy love the construction Part that’s always fun to put stuff together. I took it with me to church to school and to places to eat. It’s not a big toy, so it’s easy to take around and carry. I had a fun plan with it. Wish I had more action figures for it.

Very complicated banshee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You would think that 250 pieces wouldn’t be that hard to put together about five hours doing this by the time I got it done it just crumbled to pieces the pieces don’t stick together. The instructions are horrible. I love Mattel products but this one I do not like at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

13+ is a little deceiving.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 13 year old was excited to build this set when we received it. He built the set by himself and didn't require any assistance. Afterwards, he told me that the set was super easy to build and wondered why it said it was for 13 and older. Granted, he regularly builds Lego technic sets that can become quite complicated. The instructions are highly detailed and takes you through each part of the build bag by bag, which saves plenty of time since you're not digging endlessly through lots of pieces to find the right one. The colors of the ship are a vibrant purple and I like the fact that the clear pieces at the end of the ship are a thick durable plastic. The high age could be due to the fact that the figures themselves are small and their limbs come apart fairly easily and could potentially be swallowed by smaller siblings. The figures each have their hands formed in a way that either one could easily attach to the inside of the ship. Because they clip in, they are stable enough to stay inside while the child is flying the ship around. Taking the figure out of the ship though, I found that the arms tended to stay attached to the handlebars instead of detaching when removing the body. Overall, its a good item for a child that is a fan of the HALO series. I think the age range should be lowered to 10 but I understand that the game this is based on is for older children. I think that 13 is probably on the higher end of this toy unless the person is just interested in this item as a collectable and not a toy. This is an easy build for a 13 year old, taking him barely 30 minutes to complete. So if one were to buy this for a child who is a regular builder of these types of sets, I think expectations should be set lower as far as the actual construction goes. Again, more fun as a collectable, take the figures away, or glue the appendages and give the ship to smaller kids to play with.

Great but hard
