This tumbler will not disappoint

I’m always kind of hesitant to purchase products that have a cult favorite reputation. It’s a toss between overhyped or invest in this quality product now. Yeti is well known for the outdoor explorers and adventurers, but have a line of colors that would appeal to everyone. I received the 30oz Tumbler in a bright pink color (not shown on site) for Christmas. It comes with the magslider lid and a 5-year warranty paper inside. First impressions:
• Tumbler + lid has some weight to it when empty
• Tumbler has a durable look
• No fingerprints left on tumbler
• MagSlider is removeable for easier cleaning
• All parts are dishwasher safe

After a week of use, it has already helped to improve my water habit goals. Perhaps it’s the bright color, but most likely because it’s shiny new. I found that the weight of the tumbler when filled with ice and water is too heavy for my liking. It made me feel like I was going to lose my grip and drop it. So I checked out the site to look for a handle. There are several accessories for this tumbler:
• Rambler Maglider lid (if you needed a backup)
• Rambler Tumbler Straw lid (does not come with cleaning brush)
• Rambler Tumbler Standard lid
• Rambler Tumbler Handle

Another week of use, and the Rambler Tumbler Handle has improved my opinion of the tumbler. It’s much easier for me to hold and drink. I tested the lid and confirmed from the website that the lid is only spill resistant. The water will slowly leak at the rate of an IV drip if tipped over. I only use this tumbler for cold drinks and it hardly leaves the house, but for the purposes of this review I’ve tested both hot and cold water. I filled ¾ of the tumbler with ice and filled the water to the top. The ice melted in about 10 hours, but the water stayed very cold for some time. Using an electric kettle my water boiled to 196.5* F and cooled to 140* F in 5 hours time. For reference, my Keurig coffee maker brews at 166.6* F so that is the maximum time for my preferences. However, I left it for the next morning and the water was still warm 11 hours later. Please note, I live in high altitude which affects both tests. Boiling water is more difficult and will cool more rapidly here. Ice also melts more quickly while in water.

All my friends said I was missing out with my water bottle I used to use. I truly was. My Ice kept its form for over 48 hours when I left my cup in the office over the weekend. Ridiculously impressive. I will for sure be a YETI customer for the long run.

Love Yeti, my husband got me hooked a few years ago. I wanted to go back to the cup version from the water bottle type I’ve had for awhile. This is great, holds more water and I love the magnetic lid, makes it much easier to clean.
