The magnet close does not stop the drink from spilling, and it is fairly easy to spill water down the sides of your mouth when drinking at a slightly faster rate.

This tumbler is the king of tumblers! I was skeptical about the lid being spill proof. Because I wanted a large glass to keep on my nightstand, that would keep my water cold. This tumbler fell of the nightstand and didn’t spill a drop! 10/10
