I purchased this string of lights with the intention of keeping a small tree up year-round, and decorating it for all of the holidays. This is definitely a string intended for a full sized tree, so I had to wrap it around the length of the trunk in order to use up the excess light string. This makes the pre-programmed displays a bit less impactful, but it still looks really good. It's very easy to DIY your own design. I do think these would look best on a full sized tree but they will work for a smaller tree as well. We are really enjoying the lights. We are big fans of the Govee lights and have them around the exterior of our house as well.

Controller Power Failure after 1st night of operation.

Bought the H70C7 (164ft), model back in October 2025. Finally got to install them yseterday, worked great and started to turn them on this morning to complet set up with the Govee app and observed that it was offline. Discovered that controller was NOT powering up. Tried suggested reset from Govee support and still not powering up. Giving it 1 star for not lasting the night. Subitted ticket and will re-evaluate on replacement controller. Found many reddit post regarding same issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My neighbors and grandkids love the String Lights I placed on our deck balconies. The grandkids have each programmed and take turns changing their favorite show. The setup was very easy and app works well. I use to install orange lights for Halloween, white for Xmas, green for St. Patrick's Day, etc. I plan to leave these installed and simply change colors with the season. I plan to buy more and expect to see them show up in my neighborhood.
