My last food processor was the original Cuisinart my mother purchased in the 1970s. It lasted 45 years, but finally the bowl cracked and I couldn't find a replacement anywhere.
This new version is more complicated (hello better safety features), but it's doing the job. It's lighter, which is nice. I don't have high hopes it will last 45 years, I know that original motor was made by Robot Coupe, built to last. This is perfectly adequate for my home needs, though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great item, very versatile, using it for numerous items I did by hand. Makes a number of my cooking tasks easier and faster. I work so anything that can help me create a great home healthy home cooked meal faster and better works for me. Glad I also got the smaller bowl as I like to make a shredded carrot salad and it worked nicely. Takes a bit to get used to and to clean but over all great item. When I am more comfortable, I probably will try some other options for it. I thought the price on it was reasonable also.

Terrible food processor. Pulse response time isn’t reliable. Difficult to control chop. Sometimes you press and nothing happens. The switches are loose in the unit. Feels cheap. I reported to the company. Sent them a video. They won’t do anything. Say it’s normal. I had a cuisinart for over 30 years. What I have now is not normal. Disappointed. Won’t buy the brand again. Warranty is a joke.

Huge fail

Just can’t get past the fact that I have to unplug this after every use to stop the lights from blinking! Like really cuisinart?! Will be returning asap
Update!! I pushed the stop button three times in a row quickly out of anger and ALL THE LIGHTS STOPPED BLINKING! Tried it a couple more times and it continues to work!

Keep your old one.

I wish I never got rid of my old cuisinart. I purchased this one and the chopping blade doesn’t do the job. I can not even make hummus with this machine! I tried the slicer and chopped blades and both times my veggies ended up just macerated and lodged under the lid and blade. The bowl and lid have groves and ridges so any product you make gets stuck in it and can’t be scoped out and the spatula that comes with it doesn’t even fit to the bowl! 😭
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had the original cuisinart food processor and finally need a new one. got this one and simply hate it. the bowl is impossible to scrape, when you blend it makes a mess and you can't use any tool to scrape it all back down into the bowl. i would give it a zero if the web site allowed. really disappointed with this product.
