Incredible Playset

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first modular Matchbox playset, and it immediately made us want to pick up more of them to connect and expand our new city. The whole thing snaps together easily, and the stickers stay applied very well. The terminal/hangar door springs open with a pressure switch, which is super fun. The car and plane are Matchbox's typical fantastic quality, although the plane is made of plastic instead of die-cast metal. That doesn't stop it from working perfectly with the set's best feature, the arm on the tower that brings it in for a landing! We can't wait to add on to this scene!

It’s so easy to put together and so much fun to play with, I would say this toy is great for all ages from 2+ but just because I’m saying 2 doesn’t mean a 10 year old wouldn’t love it because they would I just mean it’s easy to play with so all ages would love it

My little one hasn’t stopped grinning since we unboxed it—and honestly, I might’ve stolen a turn or two myself.
The highlight? The realistic control tower lets kids “fly” the plane just like the pros! Clip the plane onto the handle, taxi down the runway, and whoosh—launch it into the air with a smooth lever motion. But the magic doesn’t stop there: press the button on the tower, and the plane glides back down for a picture-perfect landing. My kid loves shouting, “Touchdown!” every single time.
The interactive details are genius. The Audi e-tron toy car isn’t just a cool add-on—drive it up to the terminal, and the doors swing open to reveal a luggage-toting attendant. Plus, the hangar doors actually open and close, making refueling and “maintenance” feel like part of the story. (Pro tip: The hangar’s also a great spot for stashing the plane after a long day of flights!)
What really sold me? The expandable design. We connected it to our existing Matchbox tracks, and suddenly, the airport became the centerpiece of a whole mini-city. It’s awesome seeing my kiddo mix storytelling with hands-on play—whether they’re orchestrating a busy travel day or rescuing a stranded toy car.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This airport was a tad tedious to put together, and the instructions could be more friendly- but...once it was assembled, it was AWESOME! There is plenty of room to roll cars, a clip on the control tower to "fly" planes, and a bunvh of other fun airport details to play with. My five year old loves it.

Airport play will provide hours of imagination

They have a ton of matchbox cars that they play with in every way possible every day, but this was our first play set. It was easy to assemble, the kids actually intuitively knew where the pieces went. Some of the stickers were a bit fiddly but they are not essential for use. I love that the toy is both active and passive. Most of the play still revolves around their imagination and active movement of the cars, but there are some fun features like the plane coming in for a landing and the passenger coming out for their ride. The kids noticed right away that there were spots to connect it with other sets so i already know what they want for their birthdays. The pieces are made of durable plastic and fit together easily. It also disassembles easily for storage. They will spend hours with this airport set.
