[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment you switch it on, the 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 90 Hz refresh demands attention. Blacks are deep, colors pop, and even in bright sunlight it holds up. Samsung keeps the bezels modest (though not non-existent), and while the body leans plastic, it doesn’t feel cheap. The slim 7.9 mm profile adds elegance to what’s otherwise a practically built phone.
It’s not waterproof to flagship levels, but with IP54 splash/dust resistance, you get a little extra peace of mind. Under the hood, you’ll find either Samsung’s Exynos 1330 or MediaTek Dimensity 6300 (region-dependent) supplying the muscle. For many everyday tasks—social media, chatting, light apps—it delivers well enough. However, heavy multitasking, games, or pushing it too hard will show the cracks: stutters and lag are still present.
On the software side, Samsung makes a bold promise: 6 years of OS / security updates (Android 14 out of the box). That’s rare in this price class and gives the A16 lasting relevance. But be aware — you won’t get Samsung’s AI extras here (too modest hardware). The camera setup is straightforward: 50 MP main, 5 MP ultrawide, and 2 MP macro. In bright or good lighting, photos have decent detail and dynamic range. But like many budget phones, low light is where compromises show — noise, softer edges, and white balance inconsistencies crop up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my Samsung A16 for everything. I use awalking app my music my games. Literally just about everything I do in life. It's always with me. But it locks up UI system not responding or the screen goes crazy and don't work.i upgraded from A15 to the A16 wish I hadn't. I wish I could use Galaxy AI
