Overheating and Poor Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Samsung Galaxy A16 for free with an updated phone plan. I didn't expect the best phone, but I expected it to be able to do basic tasks and last until I could afford a new and better phone. I can't convey how poorly made this model is. It has Samsung Galaxy Ai, and it pops up asking for use and access constantly- even though I've turned it off in every app and possible setting. This brick consistently freezes and can't handle using it as a phone. The message app will freeze while I'm writing a text, the contacts appear, disappear, and lock up, and don't get me started on the battery and heating. It takes 4-7 hours to get a full charge with a lightning cable, and while it's charging it overheats and crashes every time. The overheating is terrible. Opening up the browser with a small app running in the background will overheat and freeze this phone. It gets so hot that I burned myself - if you decide to try it out because it cones free, KEEP IT AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND ANIMALS. It has the potential to burn you, others, and anything it's resting on. Place it on something that's not easily burnable when it becomes hot, especially if it's charging. I'd recommend buying a burner flip phone before this.

AMAZING SMARTPHONE!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got a new Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and I LOVE IT SO MUCH! This phone is incredible compared to my previous Andorid phone. 10x better all the way around. Huge improvement. Less frustration in owning a smartphone.
I never had owned a Samsung phone before so I did not know what to expect. No disappointments or complaints at all. The phone powers up relatively fast, less than one minute, for sure, is easy to navigate, and is actually FUN to use. I like the innovative features of my new smartphone such as its sleek interface and agile design. I had no difficulty in setting up my phone by myself and transferring over my Google account and favorite apps, contacts, and or photos. I primarily use the smartphone to access the internet and check email andor text messages. The only downside, I spend hours on my new phone (not such a bad thing; though)...
Overall, an EXCELLENT AND SUPERIOR smartphone compared to others in its category. I highly recommend anyone to purchase the Samsung Galaxy A16 smartphone.
I definitely can see in the foreseeable future myself buying a Samsung smartphone again...
