This phone is so slow. It can't run more than one app at a time (like navigation and an audiobook). It also can't switch between apps (like social media and a game or an internet browser and a text messaging app) without completely restarting the apps. So if you're going on a road trip, either memorize the route or drive in silence. If you want to check that notification while playing a game, you're going to have to restart that level. If you're trying to look something up to text someone something, you're going to need to memorize that because if you try to switch back to that site you'll have to reload that web page and find that info again and then when you go back to the text message, you might have to re-type what you had already.
The camera quality is pretty good...if you have time for the camera to load and a few extra seconds for it to actually snap the picture. I don't recommend it for taking quick pics of kids/pets doing something funny/cute. You'll miss that shot.
I bought this phone a couple months ago and now I'm using my old s10 for most things while I save up for a nicer phone.

Great features and awesome pictures!

I wish there were designer cases that fit Android like they have for that other phone. Galaxy AI is my new favorite thing to do. The picture quality is A-1. All in all, my Galaxy A16 is superb! Lol, I have so many Galaxy AI treasures that I have to monitor my storage space. Hah hah!

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display is vibrant for streaming movies, casual gaming, and Browse social media. For work, it handles all my essential apps smoothly, keeping me connected and productive. The 50MP camera captures great everyday moments, and the long-lasting 5000mAh battery easily gets me through a full day.
While it's a budget-friendly phone, the inclusion of Galaxy AI features like Google Gemini (accessed via Google) is a fantastic bonus, making quick searches and assistance super easy. It's truly a great value that makes my daily routine more efficient.

Just got my A16 5G

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I haven't had any problems with my A16 5g. It's been fast enough to keep up with me. Unlike the A15 5g which I had lag issues and slow app switching. It's only been 2 days so far plus 7UI update on top of setting it up. I am liking the Galaxi AI integration so far it's been non intrusive, yet it's their if I want to explore. It's responses to searches are visible and you can read it as quickly as any other internet searches. So far fast and smooth like liquid.
