Emergency call feature I dislike.

I do not like this feature as I have now called the police twice now while it was in my pocket. I was totally unaware of this when it happened. I want it off of my lock screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is a solid budget-friendly phone that stands out with its vibrant 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display featuring a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and impressive brightness, making it great for everyday media use. It offers excellent battery life with a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. One of its strongest features is the promise of six years of software support—rare in this price range—making it a smart long-term investment. The 50MP main camera takes decent photos in good lighting, and the selfie camera performs reasonably well. However, the phone’s performance is held back by its lower-end processor (Exynos 1330 or MediaTek Dimensity 6300, depending on the region), which can struggle with multitasking and gaming. The auxiliary cameras, including the ultrawide and macro, are weak, and the phone lacks features like stereo speakers and 4K video recording. Importantly, it does not include Samsung’s new Galaxy AI features such as Circle to Search, Live Translate, or generative editing—those are reserved for higher-tier models like the Galaxy A36 or S-series. Overall, the Galaxy A16 5G is a great choice for users looking for a reliable, everyday phone with a good display and long software support, but it falls short for those seeking advanced AI tools or high-performance capabilities.

Disappointing Downgrade For Me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When my Z Fold 3 stopped charging, I needed a phone ASAP. Don't get me wrong, the A16 is a great starter phone. But compared to even my 5 year old Fold is very slow. The battery struggles to charge when I'm in my car unless I turn it off. The thumbprint reader doesn't always work. 3 apps running at the same time is the max before the lag becomes impossible.
