Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a family of three I always feel like I waste that extra steak or piece of meat, So I got this vacuum sealer to be able to seal that extra piece and get an extra meal for one or an extra meal when I add all the extras together. Its quick, doesn't take any time to heat up, easy to use, and comes with everything I needed to get started. I love that its small and fits right in the cabinet when I'm finished with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This FoodSaver is my pick of the year! Above 5 stars! It’s so simple to use with just the push of a button. It’s fast! It’s quiet! It makes a very durable seal in a second! It comes with bags that you can fill and it comes with a roll that you can make your own size bag. With the cost of groceries I have saved money using my foodsaver! My food is still fresh and tasty afterwards. The design and quality are exceptional. It’s space saving and the craftsmanship is beautiful and well thought. I highly recommend this product. Beyond anything on the market!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FoodSaver VS1210 Space Saving Vacuum Sealer is super easy to use once you get the hang of it. By that I mean making sure the bag is in the proper spot before sealing or using the vac feature. There were times where I would notice it wasn't vacuuming out the air, in that case I just opened up the top and re-positioned the bag and it worked again. I really like that it comes with bags to get you started on the process which allows you to learn how to use the bags and also cutting and sealing to make your own bags using the rolls. It comes with a little hose too just in case you have to Foodsaver containers. Its very slender and doesn't take up much room on the counters.

Great Food Saver!

We buy bulk meat and this comes very handy in storing meat into small portions in the freezer. Vacuum and sealing works very well. We also store fruit and vegetables and they stay fresh. No more freezer burns with using food saver.

I cook a lot of chicken (for health and fitness) and we buy ours in 2-pound packaging. I like to separate my chicken into 4 oz single-serving packaging for easy preparation when I am ready to cook. We also travel a lot, so I have limited freezer space in our travel trailer, so putting the chicken in a portion size helps me with storage. I love using the FoodSaver VS1210 Space Saving Vacuum Sealer to help me separate my chicken quickly. I recommend this item for anyone looking for a Space Saving Vacuum Sealer.

Disappointed

I bought this in April of this year because I wanted one that is on hand quickly, I use the V3240 for all my heavy duty sealing such as meat and items from the garden. The V3240 is the best and I thought the VS1260 would help with the little stuff. It worked great the first few times I used it and now it “sucks” and I’m not talking about the air. I do know how to use these and only use Food Saver bags and this one no matter how I put it in it will not suck out the air even after running a few minutes. I’m very disappointed as I have always loved my Food Savers and this is the first one to disappoint. I will definitely be contacting customer service hopefully it is just a defective one because I loved the idea of having one on hand quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love this unit! Doesn’t take up a lot of space, and is super easy to use. I freeze single serving portions of stews, sauces, and soups then vacuum seal them. Perfect to take them out and pop them in boiling water for a quick home made dinner. Now I can buy bulk packs of meat too and not worry about freezer burn. Perfect gift for a single person or senior - a real money saver!
