I bought this 2 weeks ago, it worked great the first time I used it, now it won't vacuum the air out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You may want to check the upper and lower gaskets of the machine. If either of these is damaged or dirty, the unit will not vacuum properly. Clean any food materials or dust from the gaskets. You can find the troubleshooting steps on our FAQ page.

We bought this FoodSaver brand after another brand of vacuum sealer’s foam seal failed and replacement parts were unavailable. My wife likes this FoodSaver much better, it is less complicated to use and replacement parts, if needed, are available.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this 3 days ago didn’t seal evenly so we ended up returning it still looking to replace the one we had for 15+ years. There is nothing as nice as that one available

No accessory port?!?!

Why no accessory port?!?! Great product to replace the oversized, countertop models only to leave out a small port that extends the expands the uses to mason jars, reusable bags, containers, etc. Add the accessory port and I would purchase immediately.

I purchased my vaccuum sealer less than a month ago. I tried the same day I received it to seal some avocado's. I love it! Works exactly as advertised. You won't be disappointed if you purchase it.
