The End Game Monitor

This monitor is truly amazing. I’m only one night into gaming on this and can say I’ve never experienced my games with colour and contrast quite like this before. I play a lot of competitive FPS games and am currently coming from the Asus ROG 27” AQN 1440p, 360Hz monitor. Although this monitor takes a step down in refresh rate (240Hz) but in my opinion the OLED panel and 0.03ms Response time make up for it! This Monitor comes pre-calibrated with a full cali report which was a nice touch given its price. Whether it’s FIFA, RPG games, or competitive FPS titles I don’t think you’ll ever second guess this monitor! It has amazing colour, fantastic contrast, aesthetics pleasing accents (RGB Galore), along with lightning quick speeds. I can’t wait for my next gaming session as it feels like a treat to play on such a pleasing screen/panel!

Update your firmware!
on June 14, 2023

Go to the Asus website and plug in your ASUS PG27AQDM to your PC to update your monitors firmware. It makes HDR way better and image quality looks beautiful.
The low latency is amazing, making even 60fps games feel fluid and the games that run at 240fps feel very smooth.
Pricy, but view it as an investment and get one today!
You won't be disappointed.

The best visual experience for the desktop in 2023
on June 28, 2023

It's probably not news to anyone at this point that OLED is the best display technology available right now for visual quality, and with the relatively small size and high refresh rate of the PG27AQDM, PC gamers no longer have to settle for a fast, smaller display with lower visual quality or a slower, larger display with higher visual quality. This finally lets me play my games the way they were meant to look and with the fastest possible response time and I doubt I could ever go back now. After only about a week of use I did start to notice some burn in though, but thankfully it wasn't permanent and was removed using the built in pixel cleaning feature. Just something to be aware of that you should run a pixel cleaning regularly and try to keep the monitor turned off when you're not using it. Overall this is a really nice display and I would highly recommend checking it out.

Wow, with the right game/software

So I bought this monitor in June as I have a new computer with a great graphics card and lots of ram. My old monitor was a cheep little thing so I expected to be impressed. Then I got an annual subscription to EA games and downloaded Battlefield 4. Great game but not that great graphics. But today I played Battlefield 2042 (a much newer game). I was playing in a map set in the desert and for a moment I felt like I was watching a 4K film, and I was in it -- the image was that great. So, with the right software this thing just shines!

It was great until it died!

I wrote a glowing review in July for this product and today it stopped working.
Even the menu button does not display. So I am back to using my older monitor. Good think I kept it. And ASUS wants to charge me $170. To ship it back to them for repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best OLED Monitor!

I know at 1300$ + tax the price point may be a tough pill to swallow. But if you can get past the price, in my opinion it’s worth every dollar! The colour and contrast on this monitor is absolutely stunning from your most competitive titles to you’re everyday adventure and sporting games. The 240Hz is amazingly fluid and makes the gameplay feel buttery smooth. The black levels leave me thinking at times the panel is off but then I remember it’s OLED. In terms of everyday content consumption, this monitor is absolutely fantastic for Netflix and other movie/video services! It’s HDR performance is very very very good! Ignore the reviews below, it took me all of two seconds to download the firmware update. They provide the USB cable to do such and all it takes it a quick google search. I fault user errors to the low rated reviews below. So don’t be afraid to purchase this beast of a monitor because you won’t regret it!

no regrets paying 1500 for a gaming monitor. Was on a TN Benq Zowie monitor because im all about high fps smoothness but this is just amazing.
I believe TN panels with backlight strobing are faster but I refuse to use that technology, so this oled monitor is perfect.
Only 4 stars because the stand is awful, not ergonomic at all. I had to mount the monitor on something else.

Bought in June. Wrote a loving review in July. The display is great And it died in August. Keep the box and styrofoam as you may need to send it in for repair. A lemon or does it have a design fault? I suspect over heating.
