Good thermometer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this thermometer to take my kids temperatures. I have found that the ear is closer to actual temperature than the forehead. It is a good thermometer but is about 1-2 degrees off compared to our others.

Accurate, Reliable, and Nonivasive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am really pleasantly surprised by this Mobi DualScan Prime Infrared Thermometer. I own 2 other very expensive big name brand thermometers that are as about as consistently accurate as a horoscope. One is a "temple" reading thermometer and one is a "no touch" thermometer. Both would have widely varying degree differences with temp being taken one after another so I found myself relying on my "Mom Thermometer" aka the back of my hand more often than not. I needed a new thermometer during this pandemic to reliably and accurately take my family's temperature. I have a 3 year old that is barely communicative and doesn't have words to tell me if she isn't feeling well. I needed an nonivasive thermometer to speak for her. I've never heard of the brand Mobi but this thermometer is 10 times better than my expensive big name brand ones. Reliable, accurate, noninvasive, this thermometer checks all the boxes. I feel like the most accurate temperature check points are inside the mouth and ears, and this thermometer has that capability (ears). I like that I have the option of a quick forehead scan without having to stop to find another device if my 3 year old won't cooperate with an ear temp check. Wrangling toddlers is no "walk in the park". Throw your expensive name brand thermometers in the trash and pick up this Mobi DualScan Prime Infrared Thermometer. You won't be disappointed!

It does have many functions..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast reading thermometer and pretty easy to use. It has a very sensitive reader but maybe a little too sensitive, every time I turn it on and press the head button to give a head scan it automatically reads the room temperature... It's not a horrible feature but it is annoying. Also I did scan myself then my son multiple times and it said we both had the same temperature, then every time I tried again between us our numbers just kept rising and it was clearly wrong...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With the way the pandemic has hit having a digital thermometer on hand is great. Especially when you have a baby who hates getting her temperature checked. This product has surpassed my expectations I had no idea I could use this to test the temperature of food which is also great with a baby who is eating solids. This is the perfect product.

With little ones sometimes it is hard to get them to be still long enough for a temperature check. This thermometer works fast. It is easy to carry and put into a car or bag.

Not as consistent as I’d like

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter felt warm and I was alarmed that the first forehead reading was over 100 degrees. I tried twice more and got readings of 99 and 97. The ear scan seems to be a little more consistent because it was giving me the same reading each time I tried it on myself but at 18 months my willful child would not let me put it in her ear. I feel like it may be good for general scans before the kids go to school in the morning, when they are otherwise okay but I would prefer more consistency and accuracy for when I’m trying to decide if a situation is urgent or not. It also took me a minute to understand if I was supposed to hold or just click the trigger, that part is probably on me for being in too big of a rush to use it rather than read the directions first. My husband cut the package open and handed it over and I was quickly trying to get a read while I had my daughter in my lap. Otherwise it lights up and is easy to read and use. It’s super quick to get a reading which is much preferred over the oral thermometers, I just wish that these infrared types were able to be consistent and accurate each time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Set up of date and time was super easy and only took a few minutes and is very user friendly. I am really impressed with the sleek light-weight design of the thermometer. The temperature reading is very fast as well. This is a great product
