Don’t waste your money

The volume is so low it cannot be heard. This is a very cute phone and would have been a hit on her birthday. Instead it was frustrating and very disappointing.

Hey Barney Phone Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took the phone to my granddaughter’s house on January 25, 2025 and had them help me test the phone-one is almost 2 and the other is almost 5. The colors on the phone are nice and vibrant and the buttons are easy to press. They liked the variety of voices/sounds-but I myself thought Barney’s voice was not close to the old Barney voice. They held the phone to their ears but the speaker is in the back of the phone which was hard to hear. They tried to press the green bubbles/circles at the top of the phone-but they are just decorative. I held the phone with my one hand and I think the phone should be slimmer for their little hands. If they use the phone with both hands-the speakers should be on the sides/front for better volume/clarity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: my daughter loves this phone! She especially likes the feature where it makes the “flashing” sound of a camera. It’s big enough to be more entertaining than other play phones she’s had while still manageable to carry with her.
The less good: This was a nostalgic pick for me but Barney’s voice is not the one I remember from my childhood haha. It bummed me out but what matters is that it keeps my girl happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my little one who is age 2 loves acting like she is on the phone and talkijg to herself. this phone is perfeft for her tiny hands and it plays sounds that she enjoys. the music isnt too loud either so thats a plus

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Barney’s World play phone is bright and colorful with lots of buttons for kids to press. There are ribbed grips on the side making it easy for a toddler to hold. Press a button and hear all the numbers. Barney even lights up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product is a music toy. Very colorful with lots of sound. Sound qas good. Not too loud for my toddler. My baby used it more as a phone. She pretend to call papa and her parents. Barney and friends music is joyful.

No volume control so it's hard to hear sounds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fisher-Price® Barney's World™ Hey Barney™ Phone, is a fun toy phone to play with but there is no volume button and the volume is so low you can't hear it. We just push the buttons and play with it, but to hear anything from the phone you have to turn the phone around to the back and put it by your ear.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
