Presto pressure cookers used to be the best, not any more. Last three I bought where JUNK. There covers no longer seal. not there pressure canners or the pressure cookers.

I was raised by a pressure cooker using mother. I have used one throughout my 50 year marriage. As my mother-in-law said “You can’t keep house without it.”

We purchased this pressure cooker to replace our 30 or 40-year-old supersix quart pressure cooker. First thing we've noticed is that this new one is smaller around but taller, obviously they're both 6 quarts but that is achieved by having different size diameters. The old one was more round and could contain larger diameter roasts than this new one, also you could get full size ears of corn in it without having to cut them in half. The new pressure cooker does the same excellent job at cooking meats, corn and other things that we tried. we just like the larger diameter of the old one.
