Okay as a cheap stereo unit with limitations

This is an okay little inexpensive unit if you're willing to live with a few of its drawbacks (see my listing of cons). I use it in a small room and so run the volume fairly low. This is not a boombox, it has a whopping 7.5W per channel (my external computer speakers with a subwoofer sounds better - but I don't use my computer for music). But, for what I wanted it for, which is to listen to music or the radio while I work in my home office, it's just fine.
If you want to use headphones or get a bunch of features, this is not for you (no headphone jack, no Bluetooth out). If you want wide speaker separation or use different speakers, this is also not for you - short (36") speaker wires with a proprietary plug into the unit (why???). I have another slightly higher end Sharp (with a 5 CD player) - it has a standard speaker wire clips on the back - this one should have had the same. It has a hardwired FM antenna (single wire). While the FM works just fine for me, it's not a standard FM input connection which would allow you to use a different FM antenna.
But if you want a simple little unit that can play a CD, pair to Bluetooth music device, use a USB stick (which is how I use it), or listen to FM radio then it's fine. I was able to get the bass and treble adjusted to my liking (I tried the EQ, okay but not great - just presets). It has a bass boost ("loud" on the remote), but that has a muffle effect on the music - not the same as a bass boost on higher end units.
I put in no to recommend to a friend since I think it's a bit of a niche device - not for everyone.
Pros:
Price (overpriced at full retail, but still, not expensive)
size (quite small)
Simplicity
Decent sound in a small room
Cons:
No headphone option (no headphone or Bluetooth out)
No memory - it does not resume from where you left off
Speakers are hardwired with a proprietary plug into the unit - short speaker wires
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the superb sound of this CD player, very crisp with volume easy to adjust. Minor issue when changing CDs as when first turn on unit wants to immediately play loaded CD even through I pressed the unload CD, I found pressing twice works. I would recommend this for anyone looking for home CD player.
