The X3 is great and is doing what it is supposed to be doing! I can feel the cleaner air and what's fabulous is that I don't have to keep purchasing HEPA filters. Still need to purchase the catalyst filter every so often but the cost is minimal. Other than that, the unit met my expectations. So far the frequency of washing the collecting plates has been once a month and it dries like it says so very little downtime.
There are some items that I would really like your designers to re-consider however. The annoying green lamp can't be turned OFF. If you say it is for a bedroom, there should be a way to turn off all lights! I think the X5 and X8 are the same way and the same complaints are stated by other users. The other issue I have is the back cover. Whenever I try to remove the back cover, I feel like I'm going to break it. It's not easy to remove the cover for some reason and that should be fixed - like using a magnet instead of a latch.
Also the catalyst filter doesn't fit well in the slot. It's a bit smaller than the cavity and the height the filter is thinner compared to the slot height. Not a big deal but something isn't right.
Other than that, the unit does clean the air like it is supposed to and am happy with the purchase.

Best air purifier we have ever owned!!!

We have had the Airdog X3- 215 sq. ft for a year and have been extremely happy with the results. We have 3 dogs and a cat and this purifier has done wonders for the IAQ in my home. Guests have even said they never would've guessed we had so many pets because it smells clean and their allergies never act up while visiting. Another plus is how quiet it is. No one even knows its in the corner of the room until it kicks on to high when the IAQ goes down.
As far as cleaning, I usually have to clean it roughly every 1-2 months when it lets me know it needs to be cleaned. The informational video provided through the QR code on the back is very helpful since there are many parts to clean. We also appreciate the sustainability aspect of this product by not using disposable HEPA filters while still also outperforming them.
Overall, we love our Airdog and will certainly purchase another one when the time comes. IAQ is highly important to me as an interior designer and I will always suggest this company to people in the market for a quality air purifier. It may seem to be on the pricey side at first, but the quality of the product as well as the amount of money you save by never having to buy filters is insurmountable.

AIRDOG X3 equals QUALITY of LIFE & PURIFIED AIR

My LIFE depends on this Airdog X3. I am 75 years old, and was told I have numerous allergies and would be needing a sleep apnea machine. Then I found Indiegogo which showcased the BEST "Air Purifier" INNOVATION for entrepreneurs, called the AIRDOG X3, I immediately bought TWO. I am allergy and pill free, no need for a sleep apnea machine, all my tests are perfect, my health is excellent, my lungs are perfect, my nose is never stuffy or runny and most of all I BREATHE the MOST BEAUTIFUL FRESH AIR possible. You just have to experience the FINE QUALITY of AIR. The X3 in my bedroom, I have it situated where the sweet clean breeze always blows across my bed, the most perfect sleep in the whole world. I do not have air-conditioning in my house, in the hot summer, my rooms are cool due to this powerful effective X3. My health investment for this air-purifier gives me peace of mind and a healthy well being that I feel I would not be here without these TWO Beautiful Machines. This product outshines all others in it's efficiency and ease of operation and the ability to easily clean, just by using water on the collection plates. The night light at the very bottom of the air purifier that changes colors for air quality is truly a blessing, especially in a dark bedroom, at night. This truly is a LIFE SAVING INVESTMENT for health conscious individuals, like me. I highly recommend AIRDOG PRODUCTS to all individuals that seek the ultimate quality of life and that totally begins with proper clean/fresh air to breathe through an AIRDOG AIR PURIFIER. My favorite air purifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a happy customer of AirDog. I have one of their larger units in my garage and then my favorite for rooms is the AirDog3. What I like most is how quiet it is (while still doing a thorough job of cleaning the air). The AQI reading is also a nice feature as well as the 4 air flow settings. Read the cleaning instructions carefully is my best advice, this is different from other air purifiers. Once you learn the instructions, it’s easy.

My daughter’s dorm room always had a slight musty and dusty smell that would not go away. The air was fresh smelling and much healthier after less than an hour. The sound is peaceful.

Plugged in and my AQI was 179. It went to 12 in less than 20 minutes. Easy to use, very quiet. Well made. The air that comes out is nice and fresh. I've had many air purifiers. This is a winner.
