Amazing product, not for everyone

The new user interface and statistics are amazing, I think they could take some steps to increase customizability throughout the use process but I really appreciate all the little things. After a few rides getting it set up I love the screen and overall experience. I am a bit sad that they haven't lowered the bezel size. For anyone doing mixed use, I do gravel, road, and mtb. I would highly recommend it. I have considered getting one of the smaller 100 series computers for racing since I only want two numbers, and for adventure, gravel, or road riding I can see the appeal of the 800 or 1000 series. I would only recommend those if you use maps a lot, for me it is not needed. The battery life is amazing even without the solar charging but if you do 8+ hour rides I would recommend the solar. I think garmin have beat out wahoo with this launch.
I upgraded from the 530+ and it was worth it - the mapping features, climb features, and the ability to pull in your paired devices is a great addition - and I am sure there are features that I am yet to discover -
The garmin edge 540 is my first bike computer. There was learning curve when I started to use it. Overall I really like it. It has a lot of useful features, especially the hill climb. The only problem is that it can be a little buggy, especially when syncing with the PC. Sometimes it gets recognized, sometimes not. It usually takes me a few tries to get it to work.
Very satisfied with the quality and quantity of information. The integration with my phone is perfect, and makes the configuration operation much easier.
Just used my new 540 with a week of training and then a race...definitely improved from the 520 Plus! Features, screen, and especially a better usb connection greatly appreciated!
