I'm still trying to find a computer that will sync right up with Trailforks and allow me to look at that app on the computer, rather than looking at my phone for that information. This does not do the trick. Otherwise, it's a fine computer for normal use.
I've always heard and read nothing but good about the Garmin brand and the great products the company makes. I was shopping around for my first cycling computer and kept seeing this item pop up after countless review online and by a group of friends I decided to give it a try and I will say this the 540 GPS won't disappoint. It's got so many features and easy to use makes me feel like an elite cyclist being able to look back at my ride stats and has helped me grow as an avid cyclist. Great battery life and sleek design. I'm so glad I purchased the bundle it has all that you need. I would recommend this item to any of my friends or family looking for a cycling computer.
The 540 has the same issue that the 520 had. The buttons are far too hard to push. Seems like Garmin could have worked that out by now. Other than that it's a great unit and so far I really like it.
I bought it because I wanted and upgrade for my road bike computer I didn’t know it could be used with my mtn bike too. I’m really impressed with it, I’ve also bought a radar too for my road bike and a wheel sensor for my mtn bike . It’s easy to operate and setup. Works well with both accessories, and accurate
This bundle is everything that I need to better understand my training and track my bicycle rides. Garmin accessories pair seamlessly and it also pairs easily with the other wahoo pieces that I have. Easy to program and determinate my rides! This is great for riders of all levels.
A double-edged sword - while the 540 can provide more than enough data for any athlete, programming and using it takes a lot of work - the interfaces are not exactly user friendly. Things would be much better if it could be set up on desktop, and Garmin online support was clearer . Irrespective, Garmin phone support is excellent
