Disappointed-drum cracked open
on May 3, 2026
Posted by: Morgan

Used less than 100 hours and the drum has developed a split rendering the machine unusable. Sticks get caught in the crack and will bind up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a sturdy enough machine it is fairly easily to assemble for somebody with some mechanical inclination I don't know about shredding 6 in branches those are actually logs at 6 in like other reviews I would say two two and a half inches is a good capability for this machine The only thing I will say make sure that you get it with the electric start option you cannot pull start this engine the 420 cc model when it is cold outside you just do not have that much strength to do it

All in all I'm impressed with the chipper. Works great on fresh cut soft wood trees. Fresh cut Hard wood it works fairly well probably about 2" or larger you have to hold back on tree to slow feeding so the chipper can catch up. Didn't notice it much at first but now that I've had it awhile some of the real small branches/twigs slip throw without getting cut. You can adjust the clearance between the blades but I don't believe I'd want mine much tighter. Make sure you keep up with your oil changes gets more metal flacks in the oil then it seems like it should. Of course does get worked hard when I do use it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Chipper & Outstanding Customer Service!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gets the job done! Powerful engine ensures a smooth and uninterrupted operation! I was able to mulch almost everything I threw at it without any issues. The price point is well matched with this wood chipper's quality. I have used my unit for over ~20 hours as of today and I've already replaced the engine oil after the first 5 hours of use, and still delivers outstanding performance and reliability.
Furthermore, the best part for me was the customer service that comes with the product. They answer all questions and provide top notch service accommodating all your needs. That is rare to find nowadays!
Tip: when you assemble the product, don't overtight bolts.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still getting used to it

This is a woodchipper with considerable power, is able to feed good size wood into the intake, and chips with authority. I was able to shred 4" wood with no problem, at 5" wood it manages okay but I am not sure about much larger than that. With small gas engines you will get a little smoke the first time running gasoline through it, but it clears up after the engine breaks in. It is a good size woodchipper, takes some effort to move around. It does have handle grips built into the frame near the top.

Tow Hitch
on March 23, 2023
Posted by: Dona
The woodchipper is fine but the towbar only connects to a 1-7/8" ball, the smallest size. Also, it is only off-road towing up to 20mph. It has plenty of power just be mindful how you feed it in not to clog the opening before it reaches the blades. (4-star)
